Locations:

As a care company, we pride ourselves with keeping our care workers within the area they live and as we only cover Gateshead, we ensure travel from client to client is limited, this is so that we can provide a reliable service to our clients as well as reducing travel costs for our care workers as we understand the rising costs of fuel and the frustrations with commuting!  We cover the following areas:

Work Patterns:

·We offer very flexible working patterns to suit around your family life, we have a range of start and finish times to work around you

·Part time care workers can work hours over two days a week, full time care workers can work full time hours over four days a week to ensure you have more family time.  Or may pick times suited to them!

·We also have morning and evening positions

·All care workers are asked to work alternate weekends or one fixed day per weekend.

·All positions are contracted hours based on how many you would like, no zero hour contracts!

Your Role:

·Help clients maintain their independence and promote person centred care

·Carry out domestic tasks across the client’s home

·Prepare meals and drinks for clients as as well assist with personal care elements

·Prove support with social care elements such as accessing the community, this may involve helping clients do shopping, go out for the day, cinema trips, hospital appointments etc.

·Encourage clients to get involved in all aspects of their care

Benefits:

Travel – One major benefit of DK Home Support, compared to other providers is that our care workers are recruited around the area of Gateshead in which they live in. This is so there is minimal travel between clients calls and therefore will reduce the rising fuel costs! We have a range of positions available for both drivers and walkers!

Petrol and Pay: We are a national living wage employer! We recruit Drivers £10 per hour Plus Mileage Allowance and walking care assistants £9.50 per hour

Flexibilty – We take on a range of care workers, from Evening Staff, Morning staff, full time part time and fixed days. We pride ourselves in allowing staff to have more flexibility and control over then they work to have a good work/ personal life balance

Blue Light Discount – All care workers have access to getting a blue light card and can apply for this to give overall discounts in shops etc. as a thank you for working in the care industry!

Work Phones / Uniforms – we provide all our staff with work mobile phones as all our services are digital, we also provide unlimited free uniforms and all PPE or anything you may require for your role!

DOUBLE TIME for specific bank holidays across the year as well as 28 days holiday

Employee of the month – We recognise and reward employees each month we have two employees each receiving £100

Employee support programme – Support programme and access to resources to all staff to promote their well-being as we want you to feel supported not only in your role but outside of your work life too!

Education and training– We thrive ourselves in our extensive training programme, all care workers will be assisted through a thorough induction and shadowing process.
